Satya Nadella Curates the PDB

Why you should care

Because he might make us love Windows again.

Sure, he’s the top executive at one of the world’s largest tech companies, but Satya Nadella is also a voracious reader and cricket fan with a thing for poetry. Tomorrow, OZY will be very pleased to welcome Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, to curate the Presidential Daily Brief. Why are we so pleased?

Fun fact No. 1: Nadella was born in India and spent the first part of his life there, but now leads an iconic American company.

Fun fact No. 2: That iconic American company is itself at an interesting place. Before Nadella took over last year, some were accusing Microsoft of having lost “relevance,” largely because it missed the boat on mobile phones. But Nadella seems to be thinking well past phones. Holograms, anyone?

Fun fact No. 3: Nadella was in Kenya last week to launch Windows 10. Talk about democratizing tech.

Fun fact No. 4: Tomorrow, Nadella will join the ranks of past curators like Michelle Peluso and Jeb Bush to share his take on today’s must-know people and trends.
