Because there’s no rulebook when it comes to your love life…but we can offer you three ways to have a better one.

You want great sex…but you also want a lasting relationship? Then it’s time to make some changes. You might want to follow (or at least try) the following tips.

1. Have Sex Outside of the Bedroom

What do you think of when you hear the phrase “date night”? Dinner and a movie? Snooze. Apparently, the much-ballyhooed “date night” is supposed to be the marriage saver — the way to keep the flame of romance burning. And maybe it is a nice chance to talk about something other than chores and schedules and kids. But let’s be real — that’s not how you light your partner’s fire. What you should actually be doing is going on “day dates” — with the specific goal of having sex outside. Pack a picnic, bring a bottle of wine and take a mini road trip with your significant other. Watch the sunset together over a glass of wine and then sneak off, strip down and do it in the great outdoors. You can’t deny it’s about 1,000 times better than a rom-com and a burger. Plus, you get some exercise. Read the story here.

2. Do This Immediately After Sex

The scientific secret to better sex will shock you. Research tells us the most important thing may actually be what you do immediately after sex. Fifteen minutes of post-coitus cuddling boosts relationship satisfaction, according to a pair of new studies published recently in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior. “The findings suggest that the period after sex is a critical time for promoting satisfaction in intimate bonds,” reads the abstract. So what does this mean? It means that maybe you should put more effort into the afterplay than the foreplay. If you really want to please your partner and leave a lasting impression, don’t hop out of bed right away. Those 15 extra minutes could make all the difference. Read the story here.

And last but not least…

3. Don’t Forget to Sign a Social Media Prenup

We know, we know…you’re convinced you found your soulmate at that bar last night while you took drunken selfies and uploaded them to every social media platform possible. But after cold, harsh reality has sobered you up, you might regret those sloppy Instagrams. The smart solution? You and your lover should sign a social media prenup, in which you outline what is off-limits or needs approval prior to posting. We’ve seen the kind of digital warfare and ugliness that can erupt in the wake of a breakup — from the vicious (revenge porn or posting naked pics) to the humiliating (post-breakup, drunken Snapchats) to the merely awkward (that photo that got tagged long after the split). It’s the Wild West in social media land, which is why some relationship experts suggest that you and your significant other set guidelines. And this kind of prenup doesn’t require lawyers (or their fees). Read the story here.
