This state produces more than 65 percent of Germany’s wine grapes. The Schloss Wachenheim Group, the world’s leading manufacturer of sparkling wine, is based here. More than 40 percent of the state is forested. Germany’s most famous Formula One racetrack, the Nürburgring, is here as well.
