    Dow Drops More Than 400 Points

    The U.S. market was on a downward tilt with the Dow Jones industrial average dropping 1.8 percent as trading opened Tuesday. In addition, Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index was down 2 percent and the tech-heavy Nasdaq was also off 2.4 percent, representing three-month lows for all, on one of the busiest earning days. Europe markets were down too. A global sell-off and tensions may be affecting markets including fears of a slowing Chinese economy, U.S. election uncertainty and strains between major oil supplier Saudi Arabia and the U.S.
