    Lil Wayne Wins Right to Release Album

    In 2015, the rapper sued Cash Money Records, headed by his former friend Birdman, for $51 million after the label refused to release his album Tha Carter V. Wayne later sued parent company Universal for $40 million in unpaid royalties. Now he’s reached an undisclosed settlement with Cash Money, and fans may finally get to hear the album — last seen in possession of Martin Shkreli, who was forced to hand it over after his conviction. Wayne’s lawyer described the rapper as “a man that owns his assets, his music and himself.”
