He’s out in the cold. Pita Taufatofua, who competed in taekwondo during the 2016 Summer Olympics, made an impression when he walked out shirtless and well-oiled bearing the Tongan flag during opening ceremonies. Now Taufatofua is one race away from qualifying as a cross-country skier — a sport he picked up only a year ago — for the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. While Taufatofua’s been able to do many qualifying races on roller skis, his last race will be on snow in Poland this weekend.
