    Franken Apologizes After Sexual Assault Allegation

    “Sorry” doesn’t cut it. Democratic Sen. Al Franken is the latest public figure to face accusations of sexual misconduct after a radio newscaster said the former comedian kissed and groped her without consent during a 2006 USO tour of the Middle East. Leeann Tweeden detailed her account yesterday, sharing a photo of Franken appearing to grab her breasts as she slept. He quickly apologized and requested an Ethics Committee investigation — which he’ll get. President Trump, who has himself faced multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, immediately attacked “Al Frankenstien” via Twitter.
