    Teach Your Children to Never Give Up

    If there’s one thing I want to instill in my daughter, it’s the need to be persistent. We even put up a quote in her room by Calvin Coolidge: “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.” Parents can help kids overcome failure by teaching them the importance of good old-fashioned hard work.
