    Admit You’re Not a Machine — Your Body Will Thank You

    Ah, the power of positive thinking! Whether you’re a high-performance athlete, a 9-to-5 desk jockey, a globe-trotting senior exec, a stay-at-home parent or a millennial slacker (like me), success starts with the right frame of mind. The combination of positivity and self-discipline is awfully hard to beat. In this case, also admitting that you are human and not a machine can actually improve your ability to sustain long-term commitment to your diet, and “resting” — as Men’s Health editor Paul Kita suggests — is always better than “cheating!”
