Amazon Set to Launch Convenience Stores
They’re setting up shop. The online retailing giant reportedly plans to offer one-stop convenience shops and drive-up grocery stores peddling meat, vegetables and other perishables for pick-up. Supposedly dubbed Project Como internally, Amazon execs are refusing to comment on the brick-and-mortar initiative, but the firm has said before that it plans to open more physical stores. These will exclusively benefit customers of Amazon Fresh initially, but the plan is to give Walmart and other grocery retailers a run for their money.
