    IMAX Brings Virtual Reality to the Moviegoing Experience

    3-D glasses are so 2015. IMAX has set its sights on opening virtual reality centers in existing movie theaters worldwide, with a test site launching in the U.K. before the end of 2016 and more planned for China, Japan, the U.S. and other European countries. For now, moviegoers will sit in VR pods for a short show before a feature film. But IMAX is working with Google to develop a cinema-grade VR camera, which could help fill the content void currently worrying virtual reality entertainment enthusiasts.
