San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick — who began his protest against racial injustice in America last week — took a knee during “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a preseason game on military appreciation night in San Diego on Thursday. But this time he was joined by teammate Eric Reid, despite boos from fans. Separately, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane sat on the bench during the anthem in Oakland, saying, “It’s something I plan to keep on doing, until I feel like justice is being served.”
