Google Gaming Ready to Battle
Google’s upcoming live and on-demand streaming gaming site will be a strong competitor to the established market leader, so says leading tech site Ars Technica. Last Friday, the Mountain View search giant announced it would launch the network to challenge Twitch, which was acquired by Amazon in 2014 for nearly a billion dollars becaue of its 100 million monthly visitors. Ars says the first demo has several advantages: you can pause and repeat game-play, the interface looks “slick” and recommendations are as good as YouTube’s app. While there are glitches, most are expected to be gone by year’s end.
