  1. Yankees Skip World Series for First Decade in 100 Years

    For most teams, coming within two games of Fall Classic would be cause for celebration. But for the imperial New York franchise, "it's a failure," conceded Yankees slugger Aaron Judge. Another heavy hittter, Jose Altuve, blasted a ninth-inning two-run homer in Houston last night to give his Astros a 6-4 win over New York and a trip to the World Series. Die-hard Bronx Bomber fans can take solace in controversial second-inning strike calls that stranded two Yankee runners.

    And the World Series? On Tuesday, the Astros will face the well-rested National League champion Washington Nationals in Houston for Game 1.
