Singer and TikTok mastermind Jason Derulo has a couple of clear passions: music and one-minute videos. His advice? Put all else aside to do what you love. “If you choose the thing that you’re most obsessed with and you spend all your time and energy on that, you’re way more likely to be successful,” Derulo says.
News flash: Dreams don’t always come true. One of the world’s most recognized business leaders, Lloyd Blankfein, the former CEO of Goldman Sachs, says specific dreams are less important than what you do when they don’t happen. “If those dreams get deferred or unrealized or unrealizable, be resilient enough to [say] ‘You know, OK, I’ll move forward,’” Blankfein says. “And keep going and amending and revising your dream.”
Meagan Good has gone from child star to action hero to director — and mom. Many of those steps were utterly terrifying, she admits. But that shouldn’t deny you from dreaming fearlessly. “I would just say go for it and if you’re afraid, that’s exciting, because that’s literally what courage is — doing it anyways,” Good says.
