“Accidentally” Smoked Angel Dust? Well, Yeah, But…

And I kind of liked the streets of Baltimore.” – Bobby Bare.

From 2008 to 2015 I spent every Memorial Day Weekend documenting an event called the Maryland Deathfest. I made three films there: Maryland Deathfest: The Movie – vols 1, 2 and 3. I could write a book about the many adventures and debauched times during my tenure in Ballermore, as I like to call it.

For those unaware, Maryland Deathfest is an annual death metal festival held downtown Baltimore during the last weekend of May. Sponsor free, and curated by two awesome gentlemen, MDF occupies a unique “build it and they will come” cultural space that welcomes worldwide fans of extreme music to come and partake.

And partake I did.

I took a cold, 30 minute shower. I drank as much beer as I could to normalize the effect of the PCP.

Part of the Deathfest festivities, of course, involved ingesting copious amounts of booze and drugs. Now I’ve never been a hard-drug connoisseur, but weed, well, come on…sucking back a joint or five and pounding cold beers whilst Brutal Truth are destroying a crowd under the hot Memorial Day Weekend Maryland sun? That’s my kind of trouble.

“Hey man, you wanna blaze a joint with me?”

It was day one of the festival when I was approached by an unassuming dude in a Pig Destroyer t-shirt.

Slightly (very) hungover and without any THC of my own, I jumped at the chance. Bro-bro pulled out a cannon from a pack of smokes and sparked it.  We meandered over to a parking garage and through drags of acrid smoke parlayed in metalease about whatever shit we thought delivered total heavisoty.

“This is good stuff, thanks man,” I said to my new pal. The joint was done.

“Yeah man, my pleasure,” Bro-bro mumbled through a stoned grin, then added, “just wait ’til that dust hits.”

“Dust? Wassat?” I was starting to feel a bit weird – my teeth felt buzzy.

“PCP, dude,” Bro-bro casually informed me, “I always make my joints wet.”

That’s when the panic kicked in. Hard. I began to sweat like a juice-pig and I could hear bat wings fluttering when I spoke. I was officially tripping balls. Big hot, streets of Baltimore, concrete Jungle, 90 degrees with the humidex balls.

The hotel. I had to get back to the hotel.

I made a bee-line from the parking garage to Saratoga St. I passed by people I knew gathering for the fest without saying a word. I had to go about 10 city blocks up this major hill, then over and across St. Paul, up to the Delta, where I was staying. It’s about an 11 minute walk, which in PCP time equals about six years.

As I schlepped my awful body up that impossible climb, I caught a glance of myself in the reflection of a parked car window. I looked like Captain Howdy in a baseball cap. “NO!” I remember shouting at my wan reflection, catching the attention of a nice family decked-out in matching Baltimore Aquarium T-shirts.

And for some reason my feet were wet.

I looked down at my shorts and saw a growing wet spot at my crotch and streams of hot piss pouring down my legs onto my feet, and the sidewalk. A highpoint. Onlookers aghast I moved on.

“Sir, you can’t smoke in here.”

I have no memory of the rest of my journey to the hotel. I was just suddenly there in the lobby. I had no shoes, no wallet and I reeked of fear-sweat and urine. A lit cigarette dangled from my lip. I tossed the butt outside and approached the counter with clenched teeth.

“Hi, I’m a guest here and I lost my wallet and my key card. I’m diabetic (okay fuck honesty) and I’m going into an insulin crash…I need to get into my room so I can take my medicine.”

The poor woman looked me up and down, unsure of what to make of me or what to do. In my head I sounded like Bobcat Goldthwait. It seemed like an eternity. People were starting to stare and for the first time I noticed the soles of my feet were black and bloody.

“Mr. Hall! I got you, come with me, please.”

A voice of salvation was speaking to me from heaven. The clerk who checked me in, as it turned out, recognized me and took pity. I’ve never been so relieved. I entered my hotel room and flopped on the bed. Somehow I still had my phone. I texted my producer.

“Accidentally smoked PCP. Please bring a case of beer and a sandwich to my hotel room.”

I took a cold, 30 minute shower. I drank as much beer as I could to normalize the effect of the PCP.

I was back down at Deathfest by about 7pm.

I caught Asphyx perform their first show in the USA. Some teenagers had managed to climb up onto the highway overpass to watch. That felt right.

Youth Under Construction

What’s Contributing to the Rising Number of Youth Suicide?

Content Warning: This article contains an in-depth discussion of mental health and suicide.

Suicide isn’t caused by one individual factor. Circumstances like a diagnosis of depression, previous suicide attempts, and substance use can make it more likely, but the issue is much more complicated. The human brain doesn’t reach full maturity until around 25 and the pre-teen and teen years are a pivotal time for building an identity, acquiring independence, and forming intimate relationships. So what’s happening during these key developmental years to increase rates of suicide?

Feeling the Weight of the World

There is currently unprecedented amounts of existential dread attached to future threats to the safety and security of our planet. In addition to navigating the isolation and fear of a pandemic, our youth are also constantly reminded that our planet is in a struggle.  Flash floods, volcanic eruptions, mass fires, and other cascading natural disasters provide a constant reminder that the future may not be so bright. Youth feel anxious and hopeless about climate change.

School Violence, Bullying and Discrimination

There have been 92 school shootings in the US since 2018. Escape drills, metal detectors and a barrage of news stories detailing tragic deaths are a reality for young people today. In addition, bullying has now reached levels of sophistication never before seen. Verbal, physical, and online bullying are all linked with mental health problems and thoughts of suicide. Cyberbullying is the newest and most cruel form in many cases, with victims approximately twice as likely to attempt suicide. In spite of global movements for inclusion, discrimination remains a leading cause of harassment, abuse and mental health issues among marginalized groups.

Social Media Impact

A great deal of life is now lived online and, for the first time, we are witnessing the impact on digitally raised generations moving into adulthood. Studies have shown that increased levels of social media use to coincide with rising rates of suicide. Social media often creates unrealistic expectations and feelings of discontent and pressure to fit in. In addition to the  devastating impact of cyberbullying, social comparisons have been linked with poor self-esteem and suicidal ideation. Social media has become our primary means of feeling connected to the world around us, making the task of defining “healthy use” even more daunting.

Disconnected and Out of Resources

Suicide occurs across all economic backgrounds.  A common thread in all groups is that there is a lack of adequate resources and a growing level of disconnection and despair. Despite the mental health crisis, there is limited availability for counseling, mentorship and even psychoeducation for youth and families. Additionally, the way young people communicate has changed significantly with less time spent in-person and more time spent online. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the situation substantially for youth, families and their communities.

Could it be that the combination of pain, stress, hopelessness and disconnection has deprived youth of the sense of an auspicious future? How do we alleviate the emotional load and reinstate feelings of hope?

Heather McGhee on Why America Needs to Be Better Than the Sum of Its Parts

In 2018, Starbucks commissioned Heather McGhee to design its anti-bias training. The author and NBC News contributor spent three years traveling the U.S., researching how racism keeps us all from being great. This week on The Carlos Watson Show, she sits down to discuss the origins of her book, The Sum of Us, finding herself abroad and her thoughts on resetting America. The following are some of the best cuts from the full conversation, which you can find on the show’s podcast feed.

The Place the Book Was Born

Carlos Watson: Hey, I want to talk a little bit about you. I don’t even know where you grew up. Where did you grow up?

Heather McGhee: So, I was born on the South Side of Chicago and I was born in 1980. That means that this whole era of economic inequality, where the job quality is getting worse, the good manufacturing jobs are being shipped overseas, the schools and the parks and the libraries are losing funding, and there’s just a sense of we’re pulling apart from each other economically, that’s been my whole life.

That experience of seeing what was going on, on the South Side of Chicago when I was growing up, really propelled me into public service and into questions about the economy. Why is it that so many people work so hard and take home so little and are always so stressed? And why does it seem like the political conversation doesn’t see them, vilifies them, either neglects them at best or abuses them and scapegoats them at worst?

So, that’s how I got into the work that I do, really trying to ask big “why” questions about the economy, and then getting into research and advocacy around solutions to inequality. In some ways, Carlos, I feel like I just ran up against a wall. I was bringing data and research and advocacy into a fight where, because I wasn’t seeing how racism was strengthening the hand that was beating us on all of these economic fights, that frankly, if we won, would have been good for everybody. Including the majority of white people.

Because I wasn’t seeing how racism was strengthening the hand that beat us, I wasn’t coming to the fight with both hands. I wasn’t coming in as armed as I needed to be. And so, that’s why I set out on this journey to write the book, because I realized that if you don’t understand how racism in our politics and our policy structures the economy, then you can’t understand how to fix it.

An American Out of America

Watson: I’ve heard introverts say that I’m an introvert who’s mastered how to be in public and to be around, but I’m still an introvert. But you’re saying that you actually crossed over, that you went from introvert to extrovert. When did that happen?

McGhee: So, I used to hide a lot, just socially and all of that. I became a theater nerd in middle school, and then I realized that if I was onstage, I could take up space, and I could sing, and I could dance, and I could do all these things. But actually, it wasn’t until I left the country for the first significant amount of time my junior year in college, and I spent my junior year abroad in Italy, where I finally just saw myself. And I actually remember a very specific moment. It was in a bathroom at a restaurant, and I was washing my hands and I looked up and saw this person in the mirror, and I thought, “She’s beautiful.” And it hadn’t hurt that I’d had 20 men telling me I was beautiful in the streets in Italian on my way to that restaurant.

But it was not just like I was physically beautiful, but just I was seen, I was somebody. I had a life outside of my interior bookish life, and the rest is history. I mean, I’m now very, I’m a person in public. I don’t mind being, giving speeches and doing all this. And my great, great love in life is throwing parties, which of course has made this year very, very socially challenging for me because there’s nothing I love more than putting together a great party that brings hundreds of strangers together. It’s just my highest joy.

Reset the United States

Watson: Talk to me, if you would, a little bit about where you think this country goes from here. What would you put on the table if you were planning America’s next 250 years?

McGhee: That is such a good question, Carlos. And I think that’s where we are, truly. I mean, we are in, in some ways, I wish it felt a little bit different than the Reconstruction after the Civil War. I wish it didn’t feel like there was a Confederate flag being marched through the Capitol building, but we are in this moment right now where we are soon going to be a nation with no racial majority. And so, we have to ask this nation, which was founded on a lie, on the belief in a hierarchy of human value, and that hierarchy of human value, that belief was propagated in order to justify an economic model that was built on stolen land and stolen labor. Those are no longer our values. Those are no longer what is going to make us the richest as a society.

This exploitation, this zero-sum, this predation economy, it just isn’t serving us anymore as a society. It’s in a narrow band, and in fact that narrow band is richer than humans have ever been on the planet. But most Americans are struggling to make ends meet and to fulfill their dreams without debt. So we’ve got to reconstitute.

What’s exciting to me is that the idea of a multiracial democracy that takes a diverse room and says, “You’re ancestral strangers. You are people who have a tie to every community on the globe, and yet I’m going to give you” — America says this — “an equal say in setting the rules that govern all of our lives and that set opportunity for each other’s children.” That’s a radical idea. And yet I think if you dig deep, Americans of all stripes can get really excited about that idea if they trust one another.

So, one of the things that I think we need to do is first have a new set of standards for the kinds of stories that we consume that are called news, but right now have really spun off into a level of propaganda, and divisiveness, and detachment from the truth that fundamentally needs to be reined in. And we need a new birth of the commons of our ideas, and our facts, and our knowledge. That’s one piece of it.

Then we also need to experience the amazing potential … of being in a relationship, and in fellowship, and in celebration, and working with people who are different from one another. This idea that if we actually have so much difference, as people who live in those real hubs of diversity, which are not just New York City, they’re also Houston, those places where you really do have all the world’s communities represented.

What I found on my journey to write this book was that the people who had really dug into the potential of cross-racial solidarity, of working together with someone who is different from them in order to meet some common goal, whether it was organizing a car plant, or saving homes from foreclosure, or kicking out a big polluter in their community, they revealed the common humanity that connects us. Because if you’re working with someone on something that really matters to you, your race and your culture are not as important as your desire to clean up the air in your community. You connect on a level of value that’s higher than what divides us and what keeps us apart. So, I think we need to provide more of those experiences.

Now we’ve got millions of people out of work. We’ve got young people who are looking at society and saying, “What’s my path? I’m saddled with debt.” College is now like a video game, what’s happening? There’s so much work to be done. I think we need to have a massive jobs program in this country that particularly brings people in fellowship with people who are not like them. Whether you’re building a park, or creating a community center, or whatever it is that is the New Deal–era jobs program, vaccinating people, etc., all of the different public health and infrastructure needs that our society has, let’s do those in teams that reflect America’s diversity.

In many ways, the Army was that for many generations. I don’t think we need to have to train people to kill to find some way to be united by a common purpose and a higher purpose. That’s one of the things that I would do to reconstitute an American fabric and the fibers between us so that we can really take pride in how singular this American experiment of a multiracial democracy is, and not shy from the truth about our history and about how pervasive racism is. My book is not about shying away from the truth, but it’s also about expanding the aperture to show that, in some ways, because racism is so pervasive, it impacts us all.

The Unlikely Duo Doing ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’: Meet the Lucas Twins!

Twin comedians, actors, and producers Kenny and Keith Lucas drop by The Carlos Watson Show to discuss writing Judas and the Black Messiah. You can find some of the best cuts from the conversation below, and the full interview can be found on the show’s podcast feed.

On ‘Twinning’ in Style

Carlos Watson: I always wanted a twin brother. I grew up in Miami. We were playing sports. We were haggling with people. Maybe doing other stuff. And I always wanted a twin brother. How good is it?

Kenny Lucas: It’s just fun, man. You got your best friend with you, and [if I] stumble, he just picks me up.

Keith Lucas: Yeah. It’s like, I always have a hype man with me. You know what I mean? I never feel like I’m alone in this world. So if I’m stumbling or if I can’t get my thoughts together, I know he’s going to come in and just put it together. So it’s like, yeah, I have my best friend with me at all times. It’s just a beautiful thing when we get to create too and work with others and do stand-up together. We just have a very, very close and healthy relationship. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Kenny: It’s made COVID a lot easier.

Watson: Look, now, did you guys ever have a moment where you were — and I don’t just mean a moment but like six months, a year, two years — where you guys, for whatever reason, went your own way or tried to go your own way, or have you guys been a true unit?

Keith: No. We have. We separated a bit when we went to different law schools. So I went to Duke Law. He went to NYU Law. So for almost three years, we were living separately. And it was probably the toughest two years of my life.

Kenny: Without a doubt. It was the hardest, man.

On ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’

Watson: Hey, tell me about the Fred Hampton movie. I was so glad to see that you did it. I love how you’ve cast it. I know you worked with good people on it, but I love seeing LaKeith [Stanfield] and I love seeing Daniel [Kaluuya] and the others. It feels like you’ve got a beautiful cast there. How did you get involved in it? How’d you help put this together?

Kenny: Yeah, man, the cast is electric, and props to everyone who worked on the film. We actually, we came across Fred’s story while we were in college, actually. Sophomore year we’re taking this African American studies course …

Keith: Professor Dr. Fisher.

Kenny: Dr. Fisher, big up to Fisher, and we were covering Reconstruction up until the 1970s, and so we did this chapter on the Black Panthers, and then he talked about the state-sanctioned assassination of Hampton. We’d never heard of Hampton until college. I was like, “Why is this story not more widely known? Why didn’t we learn this during elementary school? Why did we just gloss over it?”

So that always struck us as odd, so once we decided to get into entertainment, our goal was like, “We got to get a Fred Hampton film made. I don’t know when we’re going to do it, how are we going to do it? But as soon as we start getting a little bit more buzz as comedians and actors and stuff like that, we’re going to try to transition and write this story, and get it done.”

We always knew we had the ability to write it, but we didn’t have the resources, we didn’t have the connections, so…

Keith: And we didn’t really know, like, the the process of getting a movie made, but like we were doing a ton of research. I mean, we read The Assassination of Fred Hampton, we read Black Against Empire, we were watching all of the speeches. We just tried to really immerse ourselves into the life story of Fred Hampton — who he was, what he stood for, his message.

Kenny: And then we came across this transcript of the “Eyes on the Prize” interview in 1980, I think PBS. And it was about William O’Neal. He was doing this interview about it, and he was pretty much walking us through his time as a Panther in the late ’60s. And we were like, “Holy shit, this is the film, right here.” It just felt cinematic.

Keith: We saw it immediately. We were like, “Wait, this is a crime thriller.” We have this informant who infiltrated the Black Panthers and took down one of the greatest people of all time. That, to us, would make a perfect film. And so we started constructing the story around William O’Neal infiltrating the Black Panthers. And you know, we watched this movie in sophomore year called The Conformist. It’s this 1970s Italian crime thriller.

Kenny: Bertolucci.

Keith: Bertolucci. It’s a cinematic masterpiece, and we were like, we want to frame our story like that. We want to basically make The Conformist, but set in the world of COINTELPRO, and so that’s how we put together our pitch doc, and we wrote out a two-to-five-page outline, and we went around town to a bunch of different production companies and studios and tried to sell them on this crime thriller epic involving Fred Hampton.

And we got passed on by every studio. And it was what it was, but we realized we were going to need to strengthen our package. We’re going to need a little bit more to sell this story. So we thought we needed to work with a filmmaker to translate our ideas into something more cinematic.

Kenny: And that’s when we met Shaka [King], in 2016. We were just filming a pilot for FX, and he was directing it and we just hit it off. He just had a sort of an ease with us, like he was just very cool and calm, and he felt like the guy who could handle something of this magnitude.

During this time, Will Berson was working on his own script about Fred Hampton, which was a bit more robust, but we hooked up with Shaka, he came to our Hollywood apartment and we just started hitting it off, and we started pitching him our idea. And he was telling us how he would handle it, and he was pitching us some ideas. So we went back and forth on another more robust treatment and then we hooked up with Berson.

Keith: Yeah, because Jermaine Fowler, who’s…

Kenny: He’s in the movie.

Keith: He knew Berson, he knew Shaka, he knew us, and he kind of put us all together. And that’s when we read Berson’s script, and we were like, “Wait a second. We can use our story, rework Berson’s script, put it all together and then go out to town.” And Shaka knew [Ryan] Coogler from Sundance, so once the script was done, he called up Shaka, I mean, called up Coogler to ask him to produce the film. And Coogler got involved, then once Coogler got involved, he called up Charles King…

Kenny: Who put up half the budget.

Keith: …who put up half the money to finance the film, so it was just a lot of different parts and pieces moving together, and I’m shocked it got this far, but it’s…

Kenny: Yeah, man. It’s a movie about a revolutionary socialist, a Black revolutionary, being produced by Warner Bros. It’s everything we could have hoped for.

Darkest Before the Dawn?

Watson: Give people some advice, because you guys know that dreaming fearlessly is not an easy thing to do for any of us. And even if you start to go down that road where you do dream fearlessly, actually bringing it alive can be heartbreaking, it can be difficult, it can be interrupted. What’s the best advice you’ve either gotten or given to someone about how to dream fearlessly and bring those dreams alive?

Kenny: Great question. I mean, I think this sounds almost cliché and I hate to say it, but I think that the best advice I can give to anyone who wants to dream fearlessly is stay persistent, believe in your instincts and believe in yourself because no one’s going to believe in you. No studio. I mean, the institution is not going to believe in you until you prove yourself, but in order to prove yourself, you have to believe in yourself. You can have some doubts, that’s reasonable, but don’t let them overwhelm you. Don’t…

Keith: Be prepared to … I don’t want to say fail, but be prepared, it’s not going to always go the way you want it to go. There are going to be obstacles. There’s going to be conflict. There are going to be moments where you feel you’re at your lowest. But if you just, as Kenny said, stay persistent and just don’t give up on yourself.

Anything is possible. We’re from Newark, New Jersey. Our father went to prison when we were 6. We grew up poor. We had nothing. I mean, we had a family and we had some stuff, but we grew up at the lower end in terms of class. And we made it to where we made it because we believed in ourselves and we worked our asses off. So, you got to work hard, but you’ve got to have faith in yourself as well. And if you have faith in the good Lord, that helps too. Yeah. And our faith in God carried us further than anything.

Loop Master Marc Rebillet Made a Career in Quarantine

Electronic musician, YouTuber and viral social media sensation Marc Rebillet’s been a full-time musician for three years, yet, contrary to the most established acts in the biz, managed to actually bolster his career mid-pandemic. In a sit-down on The Carlos Watson Show with OZY CEO and co-founder Carlos Watson, Rebillet reveals how. You can find some of the best cuts from the conversation below, and the full interview can be found on the show’s podcast feed.

The Origin Story

Carlos Watson: Where are you? Are you in Dallas, Texas?

Marc Rebillet: I’m in downtown Manhattan, baby. Holding it down here.

Watson: Oh, nice. Now, you haven’t been there the whole ride, have you?

Rebillet: Yes. I’ve been here I guess a little over two years this time. I’ve lived here on and off for several years, but I’m from Dallas originally.

Watson: What drew you to New York?

Marc: Yeah, man. I mean, it’s felt like the right place to be for quite a while. I spent part of my childhood in Englewood, New Jersey, and so I used to spend a bunch of time in the city as a kid. And, I don’t know, I was living in Paris for a little while and wasn’t doing very well there. I was pretty broke, and so I had a couple of friends here and they were like, “Man, you’ve got to move to the city.” So I moved here and sort of struggled it out for a while and finally made it work after a long time.

Watson: Nice, nice. Wait. Now, now take me back to the Paris thing. What did struggling look like? What was going on over there?

Rebillet: Well, this would have been, I want to say … Oh, man. This was probably eight years ago at this point. Something like that, eight to 10 years ago, and I moved there because I was trying to do music in sort of a half-assed way, not really making it a priority but dreaming about it. I’m half French and I’m a dual citizen, so it made it very easy for me to just move there and start working.

So I went over there and waited tables and barely made rent for a little over a year, and just very depressed, didn’t do really anything musically. Yeah, that’s when I decided to come here. I was here for another two years — again, waiting tables, doing an executive assistant job for a bit, not making it. Went back to Dallas for a number of years, and then finally, once I developed a local audience in Dallas, then I moved here to try and take it to the next step.

The Come-Up

Watson: In retrospect, what actually worked? If you could go back and talk to your younger self, what finally made you start to break out and start to get past that period where things weren’t going the way you wanted them to go?

Rebillet: Man, I wish … I mean, if I could sort of rearrange things, I would probably just have taken this a lot more seriously, a lot sooner is really what did it. Because the straw that broke the camel’s back really was I lost a job. I was working at a call center in Dallas, and they let us all go because they bought another customer service department somewhere or something, so they let our whole office go essentially, at least our division. And I had a couple months’ worth of rent saved up, and so it was sort of between, do I go out and just get another call center job, or do I try and do something? And I basically said, “I’ve got two months. Let me just see if someone will pay me to do this,” and it happened pretty quickly after that.

In Dallas, I had a friend who I used to wait tables for. He let me play at his restaurant, and then I went and hustled around at a couple other bars and got bartenders to give me the owners’ email addresses, numbers. I called them, harassed them, and basically wrangled that eventually within a couple months into three weekly residencies where I was playing. Then I would have another one-off show or two every week, so I was playing four to five shows a week and making rent pretty quickly, and it also gave me the chance to just play a lot for people who generally were not there to see me.

Watson: Marc, what do you think would have happened if you hadn’t taken that chance or if you hadn’t gotten laid off? Do you think you eventually would have turned to taking it seriously? Do you think I would have talked to you 30 years from now and you would have been like, “Fuck, I should have gone for it.”

Rebillet: Man, that is … I want to say yes. I mean, I want to say I would have eventually given it a shot, but the truth is, before I lost that job, I was really in this place where I was making little videos similar to the ones I still make but much rougher around the edges, obviously. But I was trying to make those, and it was a tiny audience. It wasn’t going anywhere, and I was really … Excuse me. I was back and forth between … I mean, it was mostly defeat. I was like, “OK, I’ve got to just find some sort of job that works that doesn’t make me miserable and just try and live my life as an adult, because I’ve just been chasing this for way too long. It’s clearly not fucking happening.” So that’s kind of where I was, and I imagine if I kept that job, I may very well have just done that, so you can never predict what the catalyst will be. You can never … You just never know.

And Now Where?

Watson: Where do you think you will go? I don’t know if you’ve thought far out yet or not, or whether there’s so much happening for you in the moment that that’s where you are, but where do you think you’ll be? Or where would you want to be five years, 10 years from now? What would make you smile? What would be a win?

Rebillet: Man, I would love to have a couple of albums under my belt in terms of I’ve been doing this kind of show for a little while now, and I’m in this place where I’m ready to evolve and do new things. So part of that would be actually writing, composing, producing an album — whether that’s my own album, whether it’s with somebody, we will have to see. Some things bubbling in that department, so we shall see. But that’s sort of what my focus is on. I would like to have one more really big touring year as this show, because it’s so much fun to play.

So, hopefully, the end of this year will give me that opportunity. We’ll see. We’ve got big things planned, but coronavirus depending, we will see. And then beyond that, I would like to move and evolve into broader areas of entertainment. I want to do TV, film. I want to sort of move back into that place because I can’t jump around half-naked onstage in my underwear forever. You know what I mean? Like, sitting on a couch, shooting the shit with people. That’s the shit, dude. That’s what I want.
