FAQ’s

General

  1. What is OZY Fest?

OZY Fest is a unique festival that brings together an interesting and diverse mix of people for an experience that doesn’t just leave you mind blown, but also mind grown. Curious? Indulge yourself at OZY Fest, and engage with the biggest names and boldest thinkers across entertainment, art, politics, business, food and thought leadership.

  2. What does “OZY” stand for?

OZY Media is a media and entertainment company that produces daily digital news, original TV shows, addictive podcasts … and of course events. In everything that we do, we aim to inspire folks to see a broader and a bolder world. The name isn’t an acronym, but it is short for Ozymandias, a poem by Percy Bysshe Shelley.

  3. Did you steal your name from OZZ FEST? Has Sharon Osbourne sued you yet?

No, we didn’t. And yes, she did.

  4. What’s up with having the event in the summer again?

Summertime is the best time for festivals where you can hang outside and have food and drink galore. Given the realities of climate change, any summer month in New York City is susceptible to extreme weather. To play our part in reducing impact of the festival, OZY Fest will be donating to a carbon offsetting charity to the value of the expected emissions arising from the festival, as well as ensuring the most sustainable materials and choices are made at every step of event production — and we encourage all festival attendees to join us in making more sustainable choices. In addition, we will be hosting a panel about sustainability at the event featuring leading scientists and policymakers.

  5. Why is OZY Fest only one day?

We wanted to bring together the most amazing folks for an incredible experience on the Great Lawn of Central Park and were able to secure the location for one day only.

  6. Is OZY Fest ADA accessible?

Yes — there will be a dedicated ADA accessible entrance, and accessible viewing areas are provided in front of both stages. Accessible bathrooms are available throughout the site. You can check out Central Park’s policy here.

  7. Will there be security?

    • Yes, the safety of OZY Fest attendees is our number one priority. There will be a substantial professional security presence on site to ensure that everyone can enjoy the event safely.
    • All attendees will be wanded or will be required to go through a magnetometer for everyone’s safety.
    • Each entrance will be staffed by security guards and medical personnel.
  8. Are children allowed?

Children under 10 are allowed to enter the festival for free with a ticket-holding adult. Minors age 11 to 17 must have a ticket, and must be accompanied by someone over the age of 21. In both cases, there is a maximum of two minors per accompanying adult.

  9. Are dogs allowed?

No dogs or other pets are allowed. Certified service dogs will be allowed.

  10. When is the best time to arrive?

Doors open at 11am and the first programming begins at noon. We highly recommend arriving as close to 11am as possible to give you time to check in and check out the space before the programming starts.

  11. What time does the festival end?

The programming will end at around 10pm

  12. Is there an OZY Fest app?

There sure will be. We’ll message all ticket holders before the event with instructions about how to download the app.

  13. What are you doing about the coronavirus outbreak?

OZY Fest organizers are working closely with City of New York public health officials and are monitoring the situation closely, however at this time there is no cause for concern at OZY Fest 2020. The health and safety of festival attendees is our top priority, and we are following all CDC guidelines accordingly.

Passes

  1. What’s the difference between Community, Premium and VIP?

    • VIP ticket holders also have a dedicated festival entrance, an exclusive VIP Village with some dedicated programming, exclusive access to a beer, wine and spirits cash bar, access to talent meet-and-greets and priority access to the main stages.
    • Premium Access ticket holders will also receive an RFID wristband, viewing areas, and expedited access to the festival.
    • Community Access ticket holders will receive general access to the entire festival grounds via a print-at-home ticket.
    • For a full breakdown of what’s included in Community, Premium and VIP tickets, click here.
  2. Can I refund or change my ticket after it has been purchased? Can I resell my ticket or give my pass to a friend?

Unless in exceptional circumstances, all sales are final — no refunds and/or exchanges are allowed after a ticket is purchased. Artist cancellation is not grounds for refund. All of our tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable. This policy is to ensure reliability and legitimacy of each ticket sold.

  3. Might the lineup change before the event day?

Your ticket is for OZY Fest, not for a specific artist. Artists and schedules are subject to change without notice.
