Robert Culos is all about the story. He may be a media producer by trade, but he is a storyteller at heart. A creative writing major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Rob got his start in the music industry, first in audio production, then in digital video and event production, and then in overall content strategy and development. The native of Rockville, Maryland, has now spent more than 15 years in audio, video and live event production, including stints at Napster, GoPro and Audible, guiding his productions toward ambitious storytelling, bold ideas and unique perspectives.
In his role of Executive Producer at OZY, Rob continues to combine his two biggest passions — audio (his first love) and storytelling (his forever mistress) — to help bring OZY’s original audio programs and podcasts to life. Robert lives in San Francisco with his wife, two children and their dog Miss Eleanor “Rigby.” He has a soft spot for imperial stouts, and in his spare time he enjoys playing drums and guitar (including jam sessions with his kids), watching films directed by the Andersons (Wes or Paul Thomas) and running BandWagon, a mobile, transformable music venue that facilitates one-of-a-kind, intimate concert experiences.
