As a child, Alex spent his nights skimming National Geographic magazines — careful to avoid the wrath of his mother for staying up past curfew — as he dreamed about the wonders outside of the Bay Area. He would close his eyes and imagine himself in a humid, vibrant rain forest, or on a glacier hanging out with penguins. This curiosity never died, and his thirst for world knowledge still fuels his love of storytelling, making him a perfect fit for OZY.
A recent graduate of Northwestern University, Alex enjoys combining journalism and data science to tell stories in innovative ways. Whether it is through marketing or reporting, he is keen to communicate information clearly and in entertaining ways. When he is not busy managing OZY’s social media platforms, Alex lives life to the fullest. He enjoys taking photos of the world around him and he is rumored to hula hoop at midnight shows in the city.
