What's So Special About These Bags? The Human Touch
WHY YOU SHOULD CARE
Because sooner or later, your luggage is going to need an upgrade. And we want you to look (and feel) this good.

I’m a guy who loves bags and the stories that they can tell — the treks I’ve been on, the journeys they’ve endured and the promenades I’ve strolled. They carry: cameras, computers, cables and cardigans. And it turns out that the one bag brand I’ve always wanted — Joshu+Vela — is made right in my own city: San Francisco.
Founder Noah Guy started the bag company in 2010, and has been devoted to his artistry ever since. Joshu+Vela’s bags are made by a team of craftspeople who care deeply about making things with their hands that will carry your items throughout your life. We watched Guy and his crew cut, sew, hammer and stitch their simply styled bags, which are made from waxed canvas, leather and hardware sourced from U.S. manufacturers. Products range from small items like dopp kits ($75) to sleek totes ($300), duffles ($210) and backpacks ($330).
Their production is all about the human touch, and it’s an enduring ethos that extends to their timeless design, with sturdy materials that buttress your daily habits while aging beautifully. Joshu+Vela bags are almost living things, and can act as a personal pack mule and time machine. See what goes into each one by watching our tour behind the scenes.
