Why you should care
Because change is tricky, but it can happen.
Political change can be as slow and difficult as getting any 535 people, members of Congress or not, to agree on something. Personal change, on the other hand, can sometimes be a little more dynamic — witness how fast the American public changed its mind about gay marriage.
Which got us to thinking, now that we’re well into President Barack Obama’s second term: Does having a president who’s a person of color change the racial dynamic here at all? Even a little bit?
There’s only one way to find out. Be sure to watch until the end.
