Why you should care

Because certain inalienable rights are a BLAST. Especially when they are exercised. Here’s to the 10 years that have passed since the first legal same-sex marriage in America.

The pronouncements have been routinely dire from a certain segment of the American body politic when it comes to same-sex marriage. The “homosexual lifestyle” complete with its attendant “homosexual agenda” was going to do to America what they were deeply obsessed with imagining that homosexuals were doing to each other. Leaving good, clean, wholesome non-homosexual Americans, well, screwed.

So when Massachusetts said screw that noise and legalized the right to marry whichever other adult you wanted, something pretty amazing happened.

Nothing. AND everything.

Which was just, well, perfectly faboo. Right?
