This ambitious up-and-comer will cover politics from a variety of angles — from the Rose Garden and statehouses to embassies and political trends abroad. The person should be a strong writer and a reporter with a nose — even a love — for sniffing out today’s most important stories, as well as the big ideas and rising stars of tomorrow that would fit our distinct storytelling sections.
Lead a team of 3 FT reporters and a number of key contributors.
Assigning, rewriting and editing stories from both staffers and a global network of contributors.
Helping advance OZY’s coverage of the Trump Administration, States of the Nationstories and global politics.
Plenty of opportunity to represent OZY on TV and radio, if this is of interest.
At least 8 years of experience in different capacities.
Experience as a strong reporter and writer, and the ability to act as a player/coach.
Strong organizational skills.
Excel at cultivating a great network of contacts in the business world.
Excitement and hunger to thrive in a startup environment.
